Privacy policy
This policy describes how Wera collects and processes data you provide to us, as well as data we collect automatically through our website. Wera is the data controller for your personal data, and all inquiries must be directed to the contact information stated in section 9.
When you visit our website, we automatically collect information such as which browser you use, search terms, IP address and information about your computer. This information is used to optimize the user experience, improve the website and for targeted marketing. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interests pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
When you sign up for our newsletter, contact us via a form or register for an event, you consent to us storing your data, typically your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number and other information we need to carry out activities. Here we use your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)) as well as processing that is necessary to fulfill our agreement with you.

Storage and deletion of data
Your personal data is stored for as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. If you do not use our website for a period of one year, we will automatically delete your data, unless the law requires longer storage. If you withdraw your consent for newsletters or marketing, the associated data will be deleted unless other legislation dictates retention.
Safety and security
We have implemented the necessary technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against accidental or unlawful alteration, loss or misuse. Access to your data is only granted to employees with a direct need for the information in their work.
