A new magazine for Sparebankstiftelsen Telemark - Holla og Lunde provides an inspiring insight into how the foundation, since its inception, has distributed almost NOK 40 million to charitable causes. The magazine highlights the projects and initiatives that create lasting value and strengthen the local community.
The magazine provides a closer look at how the foundation's funds have helped to realize projects that strengthen the community and create lasting value.
Each year, it brings together inspiring stories of the passionate individuals and communities that have received support, showing how giving has a ripple effect far beyond the financial contribution.
One of this year's gift recipients was the Lunde and Ulefoss School Band, which received NOK 230,000 from the Savings Bank Foundation for new uniforms.
In the past, the band has also received funding for instruments worth over NOK 1 million. The grants have been crucial to the band’s recruitment and motivation, and both musicians and parents are proud of the results.
“Having your own instrument and uniform means a lot, both in terms of motivation and community,” says chairwoman Hanne Kjersti Hogga.
Another gift went to the skiing communities in Lunde and Ulefoss, which received funding for new piste grooming machines for Skade IL and Ulefoss Sportsforening. The machines ensure well-groomed trails, provide better working conditions for volunteers and help both young and old to enjoy skiing. The associations see the donation as an investment in public health, and the local community is very grateful.
